It is a picturesque village on the southwest coast of Tenerife. Once it was a small fishing village and today San Juan is divided into 2 parts: the old Canarian and modern with new residential buildings and luxury villas. This is one of the sunniest and least windy areas of the island. With the aim of developing tourism, a picturesque embankment with a sandy equipped beach was built. Tourists who come to San Juan are mostly in the private sector. The village has a fishing port. The town has a well-developed infrastructure: various shops, banks, bars and restaurants, an educational institution and bus connections with other parts of the island. The southern airport and major tourist centers are located in a 30-40 minute drive.
