Golf del Sur is a popular tourist area on the south coast of Tenerife, translated from Spanish as “golf in the south”. This fashionable village, consisting of private residences and hotels, is surrounded by picturesque golf courses. The town has all the necessary infrastructure for permanent residence and comfortable rest. Since this area specializes in golf, both professionals and amateurs of this sport come here. The local golf club has a variety of courses: 9 holes for beginners, 18 holes and professional courses with 24 holes. It has repeatedly hosted international golf competitions. The climate of the island allows the use of courses for their intended purpose throughout the year, especially in winter, when the main European golf clubs are closed for holidays. The village has a promenade with bars and various restaurants and a convenient marina for yachts and boats. With other parts of the island, Golf del Sur connects a permanent bus service, taxi and car rental services. For lovers of a beach holiday, it is recommended to rent a car, as the area does not yet have equipped sandy beaches. Major tourist centers like Los Cristianos and Las Americas are within a 20 minute drive. South Airport is 10 minutes away.
