This is a picturesque village on the southwest coast of Tenerife. Once it was a small fishing village and today San Juan is divided into 2 parts: the old Canary and modern with new residential buildings and luxurious villas. This is one of the sunniest and least windy areas of the island. In order to develop tourism, a picturesque embankment with a sandy equipped beach was built. Tourists coming to San Juan are mostly in the private sector. The village has a fishing port. The town has a developed infrastructure: various shops, banks, bars and restaurants, an educational institution and bus service to other parts of the island. The southern airport and major tourist centers are located within a 30-40 minute drive.
